Sage

North America's fastest land animal, the Pronghorn Antelope, inhabits the harsh sage steppe of the Northwestern United States. It's impressive migrations are also the longest land migration of any animal in North America. Unfortunately, fragmentation of their range by fences, roads, and other human infrastructure has limited their migration and conservationists are working to restore connectivity in historic migratory routes. The 'sage' and wise look in this animal's eyes inspired the name of this piece and also as an ode to the landscape it is integral to.
