Great Blue Heron

The original was a commission, and it gave me the perfect opportunity to paint a Great Blue Heron. Something I had been wanting to do for awhile. Great Blue Herons can be commonly observed in summer months as they patiently wait, still as a statue along the edges of marshes, streams and rivers for unsuspecting prey including fish, frogs, small mammals and even baby birds!
