Lemhi Valley Llamas
Established in 2021, in the Lemhi Valley near Salmon, Idaho, Lemhi Valley Llamas seeks to bring together the finest genetic lineages in pack llama stock to produce high quality llamas for
sale, rentals and more. We focus on ccara (working) class of llamas and carefully select breeding males and females that promote genetic diversity, minimize inbreeding and produce powerful combinations of genetic lineages of some of the greatest pack llamas in the industry.
The following llamas for sale are some of our earlier purchases that we are
now passing on. We love our llamas and have personal attachments to all of them
which makes it hard for us to sell. We hope to find new owners who will love,
care, and work with them. Reach out if you have any questions by calling

Rita - bred for Sept. 2025 cria
ILR# 298979
DOB: Approx. 2018. 6-7 years old.
Wither Height: 41”
Rita is a well conformed, proven female that came to us essentially wild and already pregnant. She’s produced three athletic female crias. In Sept. 2024 she gave birth to a very nice looking cria we named Iris, who was sired by Mandalorian (registration pending). Rita was bred back to Mandalorian and is due mid Sept. 2025. Rita has come a long way with her handling and can now reluctantly be haltered after being confined to a small area. She follows well and has learned to trust us to where she’ll eat out of our hand. She is one of the few llamas that I’ve seen kick. We are looking for llamas above the 46" mark so she isn't the best fit for our breeding program. She has a couple tooth abscess issues we haven’t been able to get resolved through antibiotic treatments, however they don’t seem to bother her.

Bambi
Bambi is a trained female pack llama who's completed numerous backcountry trips, packing up to 12 miles in a day with 50lbs. She has been kept on a low line for overnights. Her pasterns are good. She was not used in 2024, so she needs exercise and conditioning to get back in shape. She is approximately 14 years old (based on what previous owners told me). Easy to halter when confined to small area. She loads well, and is an easy keeper. Bambi is 40” at withers and will walk 2.5-3 mph when conditioned. She can be listed and screened into the ILR.
Willow
Willow also completed numerous backcountry trips, packing up to 12 miles in a day with 50lbs. She has been kept on a low line for overnights. Pasterns are good. She was not packed in 2024, so she needs exercise and conditioning to get back in shape. Approx 14 years old (based on what previous owners told me). She's can be haltered when confined to small area. Willow is 45” at withers and will walk 2.5-3 mph when conditioned. Willow can be listed and screened into the ILR.
